Bias, Culture and Values is a Cultural Competency training that explores various types of diversity that impact healthcare delivery, such as religion, gender, race, ethnicity, country of origin, etc. Participants gain awareness, improve their sensitivity and learn practical ways to provide culturally competent care. This is a two-hour course that examines culture and its impact on patient interaction,overcoming bias. The course also teaches Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards. Participants will also learn about health disparities, social determinants of health, and cultural barriers to health.
