Certified Recovery Peer Advocate

This program focuses on training individuals who are committed to providing professional peer support services for individuals with substance use disorder and mental health conditions  to become one or more of the following:

  • Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)
  • Certified Recovery Peer Advocate-Provisional (CRPA-P)

Trained individuals will receive support to obtain the required certifications based on the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) requirements. After receiving the approved certifications, certified individuals will receive job placement assistance to enable them to gain paid or volunteer work experience in provider or community-based settings.
