Alanna is a seasoned public health professional with over 7 years of experience, specializing in community-based health interventions. She has a deep understanding of health-related social needs and is passionate about amplifying the voices and resources in a community to promote better health outcomes and improve the overall quality of life for individuals and families.
Alanna joins Staten Island PPS as an Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, responsible for coordinating onboarding and training with the screening and navigation teams of partners joining the Social Care Network, as well as coordinating monitoring and evaluation efforts to ensure program success.
Before joining Staten Island PPS, Alanna worked at the Suffolk County Department of Health for several years where she conducted field-based health and safety inspections and served as an essential worker throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. She received her B.S. In Public and Community Health from Ithaca College and her MPH in Community-Oriented Primary Care from the Milken Institute of Public Health at the George Washington University.
