Joseph Conte is the Executive Director of the Staten Island Performing Provider System (SI PPS). SI PPS is the preeminent population health organization on Staten Island focusing on health equity, addressing disparities and social determinants of health. As the PPS evolves from its DSRIP Medicaid origins, it has expanded services into training and workforce development.
At Northwell Health, formerly the NS-LIJ Health System, he served for over 15 years in various executive capacities, including Senior Vice President for Quality, where his innovative strategies ultimately culminated in the NQF National Quality Healthcare Award and the Codman Award for Staten Island University Hospital. Previously, Joe was the Senior Vice President for Administration at Richmond University Medical Center and Executive Vice President at the Catholic Health Services of Long Island.
He completed his doctoral dissertation at the Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences. Joe has given keynote talks throughout the United States and in international settings including the UK, Australia, Netherlands and the Ukraine on healthcare innovation. He has published numerous peer review articles and will be teaching in the Wagner College PA program this fall.
